Make bath time a positive experience
Reward your dog with treats periodically throughout the routine. If this is your dog’s first bath or your dog is nervous about baths, take it back to the basics. Break up the bathing experience into smaller steps and gradually work your pet up to a full bath. Start with just hanging out in the bathroom while giving them treats, then work on getting them in the tub, turning on the water and eventually up to a full bath. Break up the steps over multiple sessions if your pet is uncomfortable. Taking your time in the beginning will pay off in the long run!
